Ford Performance has debuted the all-new Shelby FP350S track-only model.

Designed for road racing in Trans Am, NASA and SCCA club racing events, the Ford Performance Shelby FP350S is non-street legal and joins a long line of turn-key race cars that include the FR500C, BOSS 302R and 302S, as well as the most recent IMSA Continental Tire SportCar Championship-winning Ford Shelby GT350R-C, unveiled at SEMA last month.

Under the hood of the race car is a 5.2-liter V8 engine prepared by Ford Performance Parts, paired to a Tremec 3160 manual transmission with integral oil pump, shifter and 3.73 final drive ratio. The unibodychassis has been modified with seam welding while race-oriented suspension components include electric steering calibrations and ultra-high-performance brake system.

Other modifications to the FP350S are a six-point FIA-compliant roll cage, performance-oriented oil pan and oil cooler, race-oriented exhaust, 19-inch wheels, Ford Performance splitter and carbon fiber adjustable rear wing, MOTEC data acquisition system, Sparco FIA-compliant racing seat and quick-release steering wheel.

The American automaker said the all-new Shelby FP350S will be available at Ford dealerships throughout the U.S. soon.

“Our goal has always been to provide those who want to race with equipment that enables them to compete and win,” said Dave Pericak, global director, Ford Performance. “Shelby FP350S is our latest example.”
