Who would believe this super sleek Saleen  actually pulls double duty as a California Highway Patrol Car.  When not cruising the streets and highways of California, this stang serves time promoting safe and responsible driving at car show events, on behalf of California's finest. Alfred, better known as A.G., the proud owner of this decked out Saleen Speedster, has been a member of the California Highway Patrol for the last four years.  A.G.'s fascination with Mustangs started at an early age and turned to true passion when he purchased his new Saleen in 1998.

With only 25,000 miles on the odometer, 13,000 of those from the 1st year, A.G.  ensures every mile added is either enjoying the sportiness of his ride or serving to deliver an important message to the general public, as best stated in his own words: "I work for the California Highway Patrol and use my Saleen for special events such as parades and displays. I started doing this to my vehicle to let the public know that we, law enforcement are regular people who also like and own fast cars. We are not against people having fast cars. We want to educate the motoring public as to the dangers of racing on public streets and freeways, and how it unnecessarily endangers human lives. When people ask me questions, I try and educate them on when and where to use their vehicles capabilities, such as a track or drag strip, and not freeways or city streets." While A.G. spends much of his free time educating the public, he always makes sure to find time for the care, attention and enjoyment of his Saleen.  If being 1 of 185 Saleen S281's and 1 of 18 black on black roadsters produced in 1998 wasn't rare enough, A.G.'s Saleen is a "one of a kind" in options ordered. To what is already a rare and unique mustang with a potent performance package, A.G. has since added:  Ford Motorsport Underdrive Pullies and 3:73 Gears, BF Goodrich G Force TA/KD Tires mounted on 99-01 Saleen Style Chrome Rims; Saleen SR Wing & Windguard; 2 JL Audio 10" Enclosed Speakers & Custom Art Deco in trunk.

A.G. has yet to decide on what will be his next modification. As he sees it, there's no rush. This car is already so much fun and enjoyment, he's content to just enjoy what he has, at least for the time being.  I'm sure you will agree, this is one Saleen with the looks and performance to satisfy most, and to A.G. and the CHP, its also a vehicle to deliver an all to important message to us all.
