Now this is a GT 350 Shelby Mustang with some really neat history behind it ! This is one of only 1253 Shelby Fastback GT 350's produced in 1968. What really makes this Shelby so different from the rest is being 1 of a mere 224 units special ordered and built for Hertz Rent A Car that year.

This is actually an original Hertz Rent and Race Shelby Mustang as promoted in Hertz's Advertising campaigns in 1968.

No one is really sure just how much track action this stang has seen from its days with Hertz but one thing is for sure, it is still in beautiful factory condition and top running order, right down to it's factory installed Paxton Supercharger The 302 V8 engine produces a base of 250 horsepower which is boosted to a healthy 335 ponies with the help of the Paxton Supercharger. All this power is channelled to the rear wheels thru a C-4 automatic transmission It's hard to believe the base price on a 68 GT 350 was only $4,116.62. One can just imagine what it's dollar value is today. It's a real credit to Ford and Carroll Shelby for building such a fine performance automobile that has stood the test of time to become a true American Classic.  Small wonder this work of art is now Bob and Nina's pride and joy !
