Two new Mustang first editions will be crossing the block when the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction gets the hammer swinging next month.
Last year a gentleman named Ron Pratte opened the check book and wrote a check for $550,000 to be the proud owner of the very first Shelby GT500KR Glass Roof. The
Shelby featured a black-on-black paint scheme, as well as a glass roof option that was not available for the rest of the 1000 car production run.
All the funds generated by the sale benefited the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
This year Juvenile Diabetes is the beneficiary again as Ford sends to the ring the first 2010 Mustang GT and Shelby GT500. Also up for auction will be the first 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor.
