The competition was knocked out by the Mustangs perfect
blend of retro-styling, raw horsepower and sharp handling. The GT’s 4.6-liter-aluminum
V-8 delivers a tire scorching 300 hp and 320 lb. –ft of torque. A completely
new front and rear suspension design delivers a smooth ride,
along with precise handling during hard cornering. The styling cues
inherited from the late '60s Mustang, gives the car that classic muscle car look.
With all this available for under $30,000, the 2006 Mustang
GT continues to deliver outstanding value for the performance oriented buyer.
It’s no surprise Car and Driver crowned it ‘Best Muscle Car’ in the January 2006 10Best Cars: Best Muscle Car article.
