If you’re a Mustang fanatic, chances are the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the 2000 action hit "Gone in Sixty Seconds", starring Nicolas Cage is Eleanor, sweet Eleanor.

In a film that featured many expensive and high end sports cars, Eleanor, the 1967 Mustang GT500 driven by Nicolas Cage certainly stole the show as she ripped up the streets in a race against the clock.

Now, this bad, bold and beautiful pony is up for grabs at the world’s largest classic car lot, The Auto Collections at the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. This extraordinary Mustang will be on display between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday until it’s sold.

This is not the first visit Eleanor has made to The Auto Collections, she was previously on display in June 2003 and remains one of the most crowd-pleasing attractions of all-time.

The Mustang GT 500 dubbed Eleanor is actually one of 12 that were built for the movie. Unfortunately, two of these were destroyed in the climactic bridge jump and junkyard crusher scenes. Of all the Eleanors built, no two were alike because each car was constructed for a specific purpose. One was built for handling, another was built for power, another built for looks, etc.

While all the Eleanors appeared to be Shelby GT500’s, they were really modified Mustang fastbacks. Also, the Eleanor that people remember in the movie was a four-on-the-floor, but most of the 12 were automatics because it's easier to act and do stunts when you’re not manually shifting gears.
