The Vortech V-Powered S197 Ford Mustang GT

Feb 9, 2008  By:  All Ford Mustangs News Desk

I was having a conversation online the other day with a fellow Mustang fan. We were discussing the future of the brand, what Ford should do to promote the brand, the changes that should be made in it. Mostly though, we just talked about what he personally liked in his favorite pony car.  He told me, “I like to hear it talk to me.”  He's talking, of course, about the unmistakeable sound of a Mustang engine—the sound that signals the kind of power that's under the hood.  When I asked him about gas mileage, he replied, “Oh yeah, that too. But mostly I just like 'em souped up. I don't ever want to get to the place where my Mustang won't go where I tell her or do what I tell her to do.”

So there's the challenge: What's a Mustang fan to do ... He typically wants his pony car souped up and supercharged. Yet he also is aware of the $3.00 – plus gas prices that make many sports cars unreasonable and uneconomical.

Enter: the new Vortech V-Powered S197 Mustang GT.  Presented by All American Super Cars, this car is perfect for lovers of supercharged Ford Mustangs.  The company has partnered with Vortech Engineering to produce this artistic, visionary, fantastic Mustang GT. It's the first one to feature the V-Power system.  Originally demonstrated at the 2006 SEMA auto show, the car of many fans' dreams has now become a reality.

So  what does this supercharged Ford Mustang GT have to offer? First let's talk about the gas efficiency. The vehicle's supercharger system features a Si-Trim compressor. It's this compressor that makes the Mustang's high efficiency possible throughout the whole RPM spectrum. And while we're talking about what's under the hood, let's not forget that this one features an air to water charge cooler with 48 percent more surface area.  It's this that accounts for the better air flow.

So if you want that extra power—or to hear your Mustang talk to you, like my friend wants—you'll want to check out the new Vortech supercharger system (V-Power). It comes as a complete kit, with everything you can imagine necessary for its installation. And if you have an authorized dealer install it, you'll get a 36-month, 36,000 mile warranty as well. Definitely worth checking out!
