Steeda is celebrating their 20th anniversary of (as they put it) "massaging Ford Mustangs" by holding a tremendous party at the South Georgia Motorsport Park, as well as the convention center near their Valdosta, GA facility. Steeda is inviting Mustang owners from all over the United States to join in the celebration which will start on June 13th.
A fun filled weekend is being planned by the automotive company and they are working on getting something for the whole family to enjoy. Performance testing will also be included and owners of high performance Mustangs from Steeda, Roush, Shelby and Saleen are also invited to bring their cars. The company hopes that thousands of participants will join them for their big event.
Everything will kick off on Friday, June 13th with the special reception at the Valdosta Convention center. On tap will be exhibitions of the cars brought by the participants as well as some special vehicles from Steeda. If you plan on bringing your Mustang to the exhibition, it is a good idea to get in touch with either Steeda officials or officials at the Convention center for timing and placement information for your vehicle. This is expected to be a big event, but the atmosphere will be laid back.
On Saturday, things will really heat up with a day at the South Georgia Motorsports Park. Numerous events will be taking place throughout the day, according to Steeda, which will include the: “Drive your car on a SCCA National Competition Autocross Course, blast your car down the 1⁄4 mile dragstrip and test your car’s handling at the “Skidpad Challenge”.
Steeda noted in their press release: “During the evening, there is a cruise and car show in Downtown Valdosta. Stroll around the vibrant downtown area of Valdosta, enjoy live music, check out the cars on display, and dine in one of the really great restaurants and bars that make Valdosta a truly unique downtown experience – one that will be remembered forever!”
According to Steeda officials: “On Sunday, the weekend will wrap up as “the action continues with more fun and excitement at the track and dragstrip with more autocross, 1⁄4 runs, oval track trials, and the Skidpad Challenge finals! With prizes and mementoes for all attendees, this is guaranteed to be fun for all at this event. So mark your calendar, plan your vacation, bring your car, family and enjoy an event you will remember forever!”
This is a terrific way to celebrate all the achievements of the Ford Mustang in its many variations. Whether you own a stock Mustang, a classic Mustang or a highly modified performance vehicle, you are encouraged to attend the celebrations. They’ll be plenty to keep the whole family busy as you show off your prized car. This is a rare opportunity to see so many different kinds of Mustangs all in one place and should present an entire weekend of fun for hobbyists, collectors and all those who enjoy the iconic Ford Mustang.
