Ford Mustang Given The Drift Vibe With Gittin’s RTR And RTR-C
As we told you a couple of days ago, former world drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. has unveiled his vision of the Ford Mustang - the RTR and RTR-C. More an appearance package than a performance tune, the RTR follows a design by Gittin with the help of Caleb Clark and Classic Design Concepts, and was introduced at SEMA this week. On Tuesday, a few more details became available.

Classic Shelby Tops Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction Price
It was billed as an auction of celebrity cars, but when the final gavel fell, Carroll Shelby was still the star of the collector car world. A 1965 Shelby Cobra Roadster was the top seller at the 2009 Barrett-Jackson auction which wrapped up Oct. 10, topping even the 2009 Iacocca Silver Anniversary Mustang GT. Together, the two cars drew more than US$792,000 (including the 10 per cent buyers premium). Shelby’s name was associated with two other Mustangs in the top five cars: a 1967 Shelby GT500 SE Super Snake Continuation Fastback sold for $330,000, while a 2007 Prudhomme Edition drew $302,500. And overall, Mustangs and Shelby-tagged ponies drew almost $2.7 million.

Newfoundland Mustang Owners Show, Shine And Hand Thousands To Autism Society
For a club that didn’t even exist until this spring, the Newfoundland Chapter of All Ford Mustangs has had one busy summer, and the peak event came Saturday, Oct. 3 in the province's capital city, St. John’s. More than 100 Mustangs filled the parking lot at the Don Cherry’s restaurant on Freshwater Road, and hundreds of people dropped by to support the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, take a chance on ticket draws, vote for their favorite Mustang and soak up the pony car chatter.
