And they started by adding lightness, in the form of an all-new, all aluminum 5.4-liter engine.

The recently ended Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, wasn’t just about high-dollar jewels passed between the crazy-rich. No, tucked in among the garage investments like the 1964 Shelby Cobra (top-selling car at $478,500) and the 1956 Bel Air custom ($247,500 on a half-million-dollar build) were 17 rides rolled out for charity. And, as you might expect, some of the best earners carried that galloping pony.

Fox-Body Fans Called To Ohio Reunion
The members of the Mustang Club of Ohio had such a good time at the Arthritis Society’s first Fox-Body Reunion in 2009 they have decided to gather again in 2010, and Performance Parts Inc. has signed on as a sponsor. The reunion is just a part of the 28th annual Classic Auto Show and Cruise In at the Dublin Metro Center in Dublin, Ohio, (north of Columbus, scheduled for July 9 and 10. In 2009 hundreds of fox-body Mustangs answered the reunion call, and organizers hope 2010 will be bigger and better.

2011 Mustang GT Will Pace Daytona 500 Field
It’s official. Ford announced today the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 will be the pace car for the Nascar season-opener, marking the first time in 40 years the Blue Oval has lead the pack at the Daytona 500 and the Mustang’s debut performance in the role. And before the car even hits the track, Barrett-Jackson will auction the car to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
