Reports have begun to surface that Ford will take it to the streets, “it” being the brute-force 2011 Mustang Boss 302R. You remember the Boss 302R. We told you about it last December. Ford said just 50 Boss 302R units would be built, but lately a couple of sites have been reporting a change of plans.

2011 Mustang GT Shelby GT350 Makeover
Shelby American is prepping the shop floors for its first shipment of 2011 Ford Mustang GTs, cars that will take on the iconic appearance and name of Shelby GT350. The work will take place at the Shelby American subsidiary in Las Vegas. At the same time, the company continues to expand its Shelby Performance Parts division with products for the 2005-2011 Ford Mustang, GT500 and Shelby GT.

Ford Takes On 1,000-Lap Challenge With 2011 V-6 Mustang
Ford is going to put the 2011 Mustang’s fuel economy reputation on the line in June when it rolls up to the line at Bristol Motor Speedway to take on the 1,000-lap Challenge. That’s at least 1,000 loops around Bristol on a single tank of gas, and Ford has a brand new 2011 V-6 Mustang for someone who can guess exactly how many laps it covers.

Roush Crafts Limited Edition Mustang With Barrett-Jackson
Roush Performance and auction kings Barrett-Jackson have teamed up to offer a limited-edition performance Mustang -- 25 2010 models, and 25 2011 versions. The concept vehicle will be sold at the 8th annual Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in Palm Beach, Fla., to be held April 1-3.
