Customer Appreciation Day At CJ Pony Parts

  Jul 15, 2010
By:  All Ford Mustangs News Desk

Folks around Harrisburg, Pa., know one of the best spots to scope out parts for your new or classic Mustang is CJ Pony Parts. You know, they really appreciate the business, and just as they have for the past 10 years, they are going to throw a party to celebrate their customers and raise a few bucks for charity at the same time.

The fun starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 and runs until 2 p.m. Up to 1 p.m., you’ll be able to take a stroll through CJ’s showroom inbetween admiring the show and shine cars and trying your luck at the prize wheel. There will be a tent for kids to have their faces painted, bouncing castles and Huffy the Clown to keep them entertained while you tour the warehouse and service department.

Local boy Tony Intrieri will be by with his 1970 Mach 1 Mustang to chat about his experiences in Season 3 of Speed-TV’s “Bullrun.” He might even be persueded to help hand out the car show awards, this year with five voting categories: Best Early Model Mustang (1964-1978), Best Fox Body Mustang (1979-1993), Best SN95 Mustang (1994-2004), Best S197 Mustang (2005-2011) and, of course, Best of Show.

Some of CJ’s biggest vendors will set up displays too, offering all kinds of information on the parts you want, or didn’t know you wanted. Ford Racing, Stainless Steel Brakes, Flowmaster, Edelbrock, Baer Brakes, Powermaster and Grant will have representatives on hand to display new parts and help answer questions.

On stage, live music by The Eclectics, an exciting new group culled from the lineups of several great local bands. Primarily focusing on songs from the 80s (with an occasional nod to other classics), The Eclectics bring an A-game to the great songs from that era. The Eclectics are all about having a great time, playing some great songs, and being blessed with great audiences. You can find out more about The Eclectics and become a fan on their facebook page. The Eclectics will have an hour performance around noon. Music and announcements for the rest of the day will be handled by our MC.

And it wouldn’t be a party without free hot dogs and refreshments.

All this fun does good work as well, and this year CJ Pony Parts will raise money for its favorite charity, The Four Diamonds Fund. All money raised during the show from charity fundraisers and T-shirt sales will be donated to The Four Diamonds Fund.

The mission of The Four Diamonds Fund is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children treated at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital and their families through superior care, comprehensive support, and innovative research. Any family with a child being treated for pediatric cancer at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital is automatically eligible for support. The Fund has helped more than 2,000 families since 1972. Approximately 100 new families receive support each year.

Customer Appreciation Day is all about showing customers a great time, while helping out a charity that really matters. Last year almost $8,000 was raised, and this year they hope to hit $10,000. Should be fun. Complete details and updates will be posted on our Discussion Forum, or drop by CJ Pony Parts, Inc. at 7461 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg, PA, or call 1-800-888-6473 for info.
