An aerial view of the New Jersey Motorsports Park
|
Once they pull into and out of the pit in the first weekend of May, the racers in the Mustang Challenge who had participated in last year's event at the New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) will realize that there's been some changes. Not only have the entrance and exit to the pit area been reconfigured, there has also been about 1500 feet of new curbing installed on the 14-turn track.
Race fans will also notice a difference. Since last year, when the NJMP opened within a week before when the 2008 Mustang Challenge came to town, there complex has been receiving constant upgrades and alterations. The spectator seating has been expanded greatly and there is a new trolley system that will help the race fans get to exactly where they need to be in the large facility. There are seven different grandstands placed around the track, ensuring that spectators can get the exact view of the action that they want.
If you live near the NJMP, which is located within an easy drive of Philadelphia, New York, and Baltimore, and would like to attend the race, which takes place Sunday, May 3rd, you can check out the track's website here.
