The basic architecture for the new Boss 351 engine block from Ford Racing takes its cues from the classic Windsor V8, but that isn't the only classic Ford engine taken into consideration. The 2.75" main bearing journal owes its roots to the Cleveland V8.
Ford Racing representatives have said that engines based on the Boss 351 will be capable of pumping out 600+ horsepower. And, while the engine is mainly designed for racing purposes, but those of you who want a good street vehicle shouldn't be disappointed, as a stree-capable cooling system architecture has been built into the block.
The Boss 351 engine block goes on sale soon for a price of $1,999, and Ford Racing representatives have said that they expect to offer a 427 CID Boss 351-based Crate engine by the end of the year. Check out the Ford Racing Parts website for more details.
