The 2010 Steeda Sport Edition Mustang package costs $6,995, and for that price, you can make your 2010 Mustang GT a lot better at taking corners.  Muscle cars have always been good in a straight line, one of the reasons the 1/4 mile drag race has been an ubiquitous benchmark for the segment.  With the Steeda Sport Edition package, though, you can take the already improved handling of the 2010 Mustang and make it even better.

The Steeda Sport Springs and Billet Lower Control Arms are the main forces responsible for this handling performance, but the addition of Nitto NT05 High Performance Tires wrapped around Steeda's chrome 20-inch Spyder Wheels also helps you keep the rubber firmly on the road through a hairpin turn.  As far as pure engine performance goes, Steeda underdrive performance pulleys are added, which reduces drag from accessory pulleys, account for about a 10 horsepower boost under optimal conditions.  To make your shifts even quicker, Steeda's Sport Shifter has also been included in the package, as has their performance air cleaner.

Other than that, the Sport Edition package is cosmetic, with a special Steeda paintjob on the hood and Sidewinder stripes going down the side.  So, for your $6,995, you can make alter the cosmetics of your Mustang GT, make it corner better, and add a minimal increase to the power.  Is it worth it?  You'll have to be the judge of that, but the 2010 Steeda Sport Edition Mustang gives us a glimpse of what is to come in the 2010 Q-Series Mustang.  The suspension mods will likely make their way to the Q, and the pulleys and air cleaner will certainly be a small piece of the bigger engine puzzle that Steeda's putting together.  So, if Steeda's plan in releasing the Sport Edition was to get us even more excited for the Q, well, it worked.
