2008 promises to be another banner year for Mustang events and while the season is yet to begin, here is a short list of events already scheduled for 2008.

January 12-13, Silver Springs, FL

  • 14th annual Ford and Mustang Roundup at Silver Springs, hosted by National Parts Depot and co-sponsored by Mustang Monthly and Mustang & Fords magazines.
  • Free registration to first 1,000 pre-registered cars by January 1, which includes two passes to Silver Springs. People's Choice judging, Mustang Monthly Pony Trails cruise to Cedar Key on Friday, January 11.

  • Weird Pony Drive, an American Pony Drive event based on the book, Weird Florida, by Charlie Carlson. Starts in Marianna, Florida, and ends in Savannah, Georgia, with explorations of interesting places and happenings from Florida's history. Points of interest include homes of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison, Daytona Speedway, St Augustine, Ybor City in Tampa, Florida Caverns, Apalachicola Bay, Sebring Speedway, and Kennedy Space Center. Also a visit to the National Parts Depot museum and cruise night at Old Town in Kissimmee on May 10.
