Oh yeah, now you’re talking. While everyone gushes about the new 5.0, its great power (412 horsepower) and economy (26 mpg highway), the mad scientists at Procharger are creating a monster -- a brand new supercharger system for the spanking new aluminum V-8.

Procharger has been putting the huff and puff into Mustangs since the original 5.0 rolled out in 1986, and just like every other Stang fan out there, the corporate gearheads have been waiting for the badge rebirth.

Of course, the all-aluminum, variable-timing power plant is not your daddy’s 5.0, so they are taking their time with this latest in a long line of air-to-air intercooled supercharger systems.

As a recent company blog stated, “ProCharger’s dedicated R&D Team has been hard at work developing an industry-leading air-to-air intercooled supercharger system for the all-new 2011 Mustang GTs equipped with the new 5.0L engine. Rest assured, when the ProCharged version of this incredible new engine gets done terrorizing the rear-wheel dyno, 2011 Mustang GT owners WILL want The Ultimate Power Adder under their sleek new hoods.”

All Ford Mustangs will be keeping a close eye on this, but if you’d rather get is from the horsepower’s mouth, give them a call to get your name on the info list: Customer Service, 913/338-2886 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. central time.
