We recently reported on the two 1966 customized Sonny and Cher Mustangs that were being offered for auction at the RM Auctions sale in Ft. Lauderdale.
Well, the results are in, and the dollar figure impressive.
Built by Hollywood’s iconic “King of the Kustomizers” George Barris, he was commissioned by Ford to dress up the "his and hers" Mustangs for Sonny and Cher. They were used for publicity and appeared in the 1967 film "Good Times," the duo's only full-length movie together.
The Mustang duo fetched an outstanding $198,000 when the hammer came down.
Barris was on hand for the festivities and appeared to be one happy camper at the results.
