Las Vegas NV, November 1, 2005 – Enthusiast drivers and weekend racers can now get 50 percent less shifter throw with the new Roush Performance Products one-piece billet short-throw shifter for the 2005-2006 Ford Mustang GT.

The short-throw RPP shifter is CNC machined from a single piece of 6061-T6 aluminum for superior strength, with a shifter body forged from steel for extra rigidity. This ultra-stiff assembly is fitted to the vehicle with improved polyurethane bushings for minimum deflection under the harshest shifting conditions.

"We believe our shifter can help add more driving enjoyment, less effort, and more precise shifts," says Ryan Bunn, Roush Performance Parts Marketing Manager.

The short-throw shifter can be further personalized with any Roush Performance shifter knob, or can accommodate any of Ford’s factory shifter knobs.

The short-throw shifter can be installed with no drilling or cutting, and includes a permanently lubricated and sealed spherical bearing that never requires maintenance.
