1995 Mustang Center Console swap to 1999-2004?

I was wondering if it was possible to put a 99-04 center console in a 95 GT? I really hate the POS cup holder thats in here right now.

I agree! That cup holder is a pain.
But YES, all interiors are interchangable from '94-'04.

I am considering this myself since my arm is always hitting this cup holder when you use it.

When I don't have a cup in that holder, I'll usually leave it out to "extend" the arm rest. I'll just rest my arm on it when I'm shifting. LoL
If it breaks it won't really matter much to me.
But yeah, the only difference in the interiors, is that the later models had the cupholder instead of the ash tray, and they also got rid of the clock on the dash which I actually DO like the clock... :shiny:

I did this swap on my 95 GT last summer, and it looks great! Just keep in mind that if you have fog lights and get an 01 - 04 console, you will need to find a new place to mount the switch since they moved the fog light switch to the radio bezel in 01.

You could possibly do some slight modification to the newer console and transfer your foglight switch over also... Just a thought...

After thinking about it, it's actually only a problem if you have a Convertible (like me). If you're in a coupe, the 01 - 04 console does have 1 hole for your switch to fit in. You could definitely cut an extra hole in it though if you need to. Or you can be like me and put the 01-04 dash in too, and put the fog light switch in the new position!

I took one out of a 98 that has the two cup holders next to the parking brake and it had a place for the fog lamp switch and it went in easy as could be!!!

if you don't like the cup holder, just push it back in the counsel...I never have mine out.

I have a good console (Black) from a 1994 GT. It would be easier if you have a convertible to use this one. I'll sell it cheap. Shipping will be a bear, but is doable. If you live reasonably close, you could drop by and pick it up.
