1994 Mustang gt, aluminum driveshaft question

Hey guys, along with my extensive order list for my 2nd week of october tear down, i was thinking of getting an aluminum driveshaft. The only one i see for the 94-95's is from frpp for 260. Id rather not pay that much and was wondering if anyone knows of an alternate (used or new)? Also, are there decent gains, at least from the drop of weight? Thanks

The one from FRPP is the only one that I know of. Occasionally you can find some used on Ebay.

Something keeps popping in my head about the Ford Mini-vans having an aluminum driveshaft that will fit, but I could just be making that up...

If you are looking to have a lighter rotation speed, i would first get the aluminum flywheel, they are less expensive, and said to help out more. Just my opinion.

You want the best parts, you'll have to pay for them.

I have the aluminum shaft and it made the car run smoother and accelerate smoother as well. It would hit the tires harder with the steel shaft but from the seat of the pants, the aluminum felt like it allowed the engine to rev quicker.
