Need help with spark plug wires for 1995 Mustang gt

I bought the ford racing wires with the msd cap and rotor for my tune up, but had a problem with the short wire that connects to the coil, it does not fit. Can some one tell me what I need or maybe they send the wrong wires?

Does the coil wire have one male and one female end? It should have two female ends for your application.

I doubt you have the wrong wires. Where is it not fitting?

the part where it connects to the coil, the wire it had comes with a little black plastic cap where the coil connects(maybe stock) that comes off but the ford racing won't plug into the coil. I just changed the other ones and left that one alone.

Actually the others do but this one looks the same.

Post a picture of the wire that isn't fitting because if both are HEI ends, it should go on there.

I had the same problem with the first set of ford racing 9mm wires that I got like 8 years ago. I got a brand new set today from ford and they haven't fixed the coil wire problem yet. So hears the deal. Like I did years ago; you pull the long funky looking connecter out of the jacket on the short wire and rip that stupid connecter off. Now you should have your short wire in hand with no connecter on one end. put it aside. Next take the spare wire that they include in the kit and use the connecter inside that boot. You will have to splice that connecter to Your short one using wire crimps.

Buy a set of MSD, I had absolutely no issues with them.

Easy fix...My ford racing blue wires did that too...I heard that they all do that...What you do is just use the spare longer wire that comes with the set instead (it's not labeled with a number like the other wires and is a bit longer), discard the short coil wire you won't need it, and wrap the extra length of the wire around the coil that you hooked up to keep it out of the way...it works fine.

Ha! I had the same problem... Easy fix with a zip tie!
I'm just using the regular ol' Duralast plug wires. No need to buy expensive brand name plug wires. Expensive, name brand ignition parts won't make you go any faster than the cheap ones.

Just sayin'.

I just bought these wires I can't afford to buy the msd wires but next tune I will probably go with msd.

Is it ok to just leave the old coil wire and have the rest all ford racing, it's been running pretty good.

Ay Feen I bought the duralast wires too but they wouldn't stay plugged in on the distributor cap, so I returned them, no offense to duralast but I think they suck.

Hey west coast. The coil wire is short for a reason, being, the spark generated from the coil has a very short distance to travel to your dist. Cap. Do what I said and splice it. It will look offical, If you use that long wire for the coil wire, your spark has like over twice the distance to travel.

i used the spare wire for the coil with no problems either.. more travel for the spark? maybe, but can u tell the difference? no..
