Can you grab one of two numbers?

Either the axle code on the data label stuck to the drivers door, or the ID number off the tag bolted to the diff cover.

The 2.73 was standard. the 3.08 was optional. look on the door code under AX if it says M it's 2.73. if it says Z it's 3.08

Checked the door and had a Z code so 3.08 gears, now my car is dayly driver 70-80 miles a day on work days, with longer trips thrown in.. Gas milage isn't a huge proble, was thinking 3.53 *think that the ratio* gears. love to ear ya'll opinion. the longer trips are 730 mile one way over 1500 round trip runs.

Now exactly why do you want to change the gears? Your answer will help lead to a rational choice.

In that case go for a 3.73. It's a good, all round gear for manuals and automatics.

Agreed. Fuel economy will probably be within a couple of mpg's with the 3:73's compared to what you are getting now..

He he, I went from a 2.73 to a 3.73 and the gas mileage remained unchanged.

There are a ton of forums on this one. I believe most people have dropped in 4.10-3.55. I have an auto with a 3.55 and still can run her at 80 MPH all day.
