1995 mustang gt coolant leak

I have a slow coolant leak somewhere on my car. At first it was leaking from the radiator hoses and the thermostat and it was a biggg leak. I replaced ALL the hoses going to and from the radiator. I also put in a new thermostat and sealed it with a new gasket. All of this made it seem like it stopped leaking. It still says "low coolant" below the gauges. Less often now but it still says it. (and the coolant is always at the bottom of the plastic reservoir so its not lying to me.)

So i put some Stop Leak in the radiator and let it run through today. After coming back from a short ride in the neighborhood, and getting up to normal temperature, I put a WHITE towel under the front of the car. I come back 6 hours later and find that the plastic reservoir is a little over half empty (again..), BUT there was NO coolant on the towel OR on the driveway. I am absolutely dumbfounded.

It seems every other day it says "low coolant" and I'm sick of buying anti-freeze every other week or so.
I don't know what else to do at this point.

Did you recently drain your system? If yes could be air bubbles getting filled in. Or is there smoke coming out of your exhaust? Check your oil to see if there's a blown head gasket and allowing coolant to get into combustion chamber.

Yes, I flushed the radiator completely about 3 weeks ago when i put the new hoses on. I made sure everything was filled and ran it until the "full" fluid had circulated through. Then I topped it off. Like i said it was fine for a while (a week or so), then it was low overnight somehow. And no, my car never smokes.

Maybe run it around a little until the temps get up to normal and pull over and look under car to check for leaks. If it's leaking you should see it when the system is under pressure.

I have done this. I drive around 35-40 miles one way to my college. I looked under the car when I got there last Wednesday, nothing leaking. I checked it 3 hours later (still hot and pressurized due to 95 degree weather). Not even a wet spot. The coolant was low AGAIN though. I know this should be a simple fix, but I don't even know where all the coolant is going!!

You could have a bad radiator cap that's not holding pressure and allowing the coolant to simply boil away.

I've had a similar situation go on with my car. come to find out it had a small pinhole where the neck of the radiator is connected to the upper hose, right where the neck is connected to the radiator. I just discovered this the other day. as you probably know our radiators are made of a plastic shell. so this might be a place to look.

The stop leak seems to have taken care of it. it hasnt gone down in a week now. and yes the stock radiator is plastic, mine split open about 9 years ago and i have an aftermarket aluminum radiator now

if you turn the heater on and it smells like antifreeze your heater core is cracked. that's a common place for a coolant leak.

i dont ever suggest using stop leak due to the fact that it is like a cough suppressant. it will make the symptoms go away for a little while, but it doesnt fix the problem. i have a leaking timing cover on my pony and i go through a resevoir of coolant a week. (dont have time to fix it right now) but, it ONLY has a visible leak on cold start. any other time the heat evaporates the coolant because there hardly any coming out at a time. one way to check for a blown head gasket is to pull out your oil dipstick and hold it over an open flame for a second or two. if it crackles, you have a blown head gasket. it wont always smoke out of the tailpipe. not if its small.

1998 GT with '02 motor bored .20 over, mild cam, cai, centerforce clutch, short throw shifter, o/r h, dumped with flow 40s.
