Rear end problems?

I have a 1995 mustang gt and I was looking around my rear end for a weird noise which i suspect was my lowering springs being installed wrong since the noise is only heard when going over bumps or when people are riding in the back seats.It sounds like an irrating screech. Does that sound like my problem?
Next problem is when I was looking at my lowering springs, my rear end looks misaligned. The right side rear tire has little space between it and the exhaust tip but on the left side the rear tire has plenty clearence between the tire and exhaust tip. The right side tire also sinks inside the rear fender more than the left rear tire. What is wrong with my rear end?

The first thing that comes to mind when you said "irritating screech", is mufflers/mid-pipe scraping. How much lower is the car now?

Some of the suspension bolts may be torqued or installed wrong, or you got a bad component, or your making a massive amount of HP and have caused the rear end to twist and get knocked out of place a little.

you should see if there is any rocks in your springs as well. My driveway is a 700 feet gravel mess. My car was making a horrible screeching noise from the front while turning or hitting bumps. I went rotate my tires and found 2-3 rocks lodged under the base of the spring. Took them out and haven't heard that noise since.

My first thought was that something was installed wrong, since one spring looks like if its going straight up and the other is kind of tilted to the side. I think since there is something installed wrong and the right rear tire and rim may be scraping the catback when over a bump or when people are riding in the back. Any specific things to look at to see if I can solve this problem?

the leaning spring must be the problem then. Maybe it WAS installed incorrectly. There are so many possibilities. Did you just put lowering springs on it or did you replace a lot of suspension parts? Is the rear axle from the factory? It might be some random rear end that a previous owner put on and is slightly a different length.

Yea you need to be careful over speed bumps. My car still has all the stock exhaust. With 300,000 miles on it, needless to say I've scraped the exhaust MANY times and its still intact. The bottom of the rear end can get bent in a way that it leaks fluid. It sounds TERRIBLE when you scrape the rear end. I will never lower my car, it is low enough already

Im pretty sure its the factory rear end. The only thing the previous owner did suspension wise was caster camber plates and lowering springs in the front and in the rear just lowering springs. all the control arms and rear end look stock.

how common is it for the rearend to come "loose" mine seems to be making a clunking noise at take off. i checked the fluid level and its good. while i was checking the fluid i moved the tires back and fourth and noticed the noise.

1995 SVT COBRA:K&N Intake, chip'd, short shifter, underdrive pulleys<smog pump delete>,Full MSD ignition, Shortyheaders, 2.5 in from the engine back O/R H pipe followed by flowmaster40's, tracklok rearend w/4.10 gears, Mishhimoto aluminum radiator,aluminum driveshaft, strut tower brace, subframe connectors, Eibach pro-springs and sway bars. Eibach Shocks &Struts,

If I were to take a guess on the problem your having, I would say your rear control arm bushings are shot. Wouldn't hurt to check if your control arms are loose. This happened to my fox body and it resulted in my control arms needing new bushings.
