1994 Mustang GT 5.0 Convertible

I just biought a 1994 mustang GT convertible. Bone stock except radio and rims. I just ordered a flowmaster exhaust, a sct 4 bank chip. And a cold air intake system for it. Any other suggestions for this car. Oh and it is an automatic. Thanks

Shift kit and take the 25lb weight off from under the passenger fender. It's right behind the fog light.

suggestions

With ur exhaust upgrade, cold air, and chip. I would go for a bigger MAF sensor a 65mm 0r 70mm, and an equal size throttle body, and go for a 255lps fuel pump and 24lbs injectors. This set up will help u go fast. P.S. don't forget to push ur overdrive button off when u start up, if its not off, u will be driving around in overdrive, and this will kill ur transmission. O yeah, and 373 gears out back

You are going to need overdrive if you are stepping up the gears...
The overdrive band will get worn eventually if you give it hell a lot. My first and second gears went before my overdrive did. The only thing turning off OD will accomplish is killing your gas mileage.

Yeah with what you've already bought I'd get a shift kit, gears, and some suspension stuff like lowering springs and new shocks/struts (The original ones are pretty worn out after 16 years so they're probably effecting your handling)

BTW I leave my OD on pretty much all the time.

1978 Corvette- "Stingray" New engine/suspension. Cosmetic restoration underway
2003 Z06 Corvette- Torch Red w/ 2 tone Red & Black interior
1995 Mustang GT Convertible- Bright red w/ custom 2 tone red & black interior
Lots of mods. I killed the transmission. Basically restoring car now with a 347
2006 Charger Daytona Go Mango- Stock daily driver

2.73
The more you look into it, the more you realize that in these years ford really just didn't put any effort into making these performance cars.

Not quite true. Check the axle code on the door frame. Mine came with the 3:27 (code E) option.

Wow you're pretty lucky. I know that's a rather rare option that usually only the Cobras came with.
Allow me to rephrase: A safe bet would be 2.73 BUT you might be one of the very lucky few who mysteriously got a 3.27.

The more you look into it, the more you realize that compared to the camaro or firebird ford really didn't put any effort into making these SN95's a performance car. Just a really beautiful body style.

M = 2.73
Z = 3.08 (T-5 option)
E = 3.27 (AODE option)
