if the heads are stock i probably wouldnt bother with the throttle body. but if you choose to do it i think a 65 or 70mm throttle body is good enough for a NA car. as far as the cold air kit i like the BBK brand better the MAC. MAC seems to be a little on the cheap side.

I would try the BBK brand over MAC. I bought the MAC and it was made SO tight fitting around the alternator. Just seemed to be cut a little wrong or bent a little wrong. Both have gotta be fine and almost identical though. As far as a TB ... if you are gonna do it, go with the 65mm FMS TB. I noticed that when i went up to a 65mm, I lot a little of the lower end. If you are gonna start changing the heads and cam ... just wait til ya do it before getting the 70mm.

in my opinion they are pretty much both the same, price and quality wise

If you're going to get something bigger get a MAF (calibrated to the stock injectors, I'm assuming your injectors are still stock) an oversized TB (70mm) is too big for stock heads and you will probably notice a loss in the bottom end.

The intake should bottleneck somewhat from the filter to the TB ie)75mm MAF to a 65mm TB in order to promote proper intake velocities.

Unitl you change out the stock heads (where the real restriction is) the stock TB or something very close to the stock size is all you need.

I've been called worse by better.

In my opinion ... a 70mm is too big for a stock 302. Like Flintstone said, you WILL notice a loss of low end power.

stock TB with stock heads.

65mm with h/c/i

70mm with a stroker or blown setup.

75mm on a ported h/i stroker or wild blown setup

period.

as far as cold air kit, i'd get a BBK, MAC sucks. i have it, and hate it. im gonna get a NA power pipe next. i'd receomend that if you have the cash.
