just need a metal pale and a fire pit, works pretty well the carbon build up and rust kinda turn into mush and you can powerwash it off or use a wire brush

Our engines have a code on the cylinder heads: E7TE. Other than that you would have to get a ford engine book from barnes and noble.

find the serial number should be on the pass side near the back it shoudl be engraved or printed on a flat area, nice method of hot tanking heads, never thought about that, i just used a pressure washer with hot water and some heavy duty degreaser

a 5.0 i assume? a good indication would be the upper/ lower intake, and the front end accessory drive configuration. if you could post pics that would be most beneficial.

Why drive a Prius when you can have a Fiesta!!

It is a 5.0

my bad i didnt think to say that, yep its a 5.0 but im a little worried because ive already spent about 20 hrs on it in the last week cleaning it and honing cylinders and i never really thought about the transmission how do i tell if it will fit in my car with my tranny. I have some pictures, the block has a stamped number in a few places it reads 95230, and the heads have a number on them to they read 6A31 theres a pic with a bunch of #'s on it that is the timing chain cover, if this helps the manifold said EFI on it in big letters, it is now broke tho, it has roller lifters, a double roller timing chain, and regular rockers, the kid that had it thinks its from an older mustang near an 86 or 87, i took pics of the water pump and alternator they are different then the ones in my 94 5.0 i think, hope all this info helps thanks to everyone that replied

NEVERMIND i totally just figured it out the code that i was looking for was kinda hidden, its E7TE the which means it is an 87 and it has alot of Z's around the motor which means its a mustang.

Will and 87 5.0 fit work with a 94 gt tranny???

Now that i know what in the hell that came from i need to know if it will even bolt up to my 94 Gt's transmission my sorta educated guess says it would because i dont believe that they changed transmissions until 96, or did they change them in 94 then just changed the motor to modular in 96 N E help would be awesome, oh and if this isnt going to bolt up to my stang where can i get a good deal on a trannsmision, i live in southern iowa, and i def. dont want to drive any more then 80 miles away for a transmission.

thanks guys

i was goin to say mustang too because of the lower intake. the truck intakes have a different rectangular port arrangement, and the accessory drive looks like a mustang with an aftermarket belt tensioner. but yea it will bolt up no problem to the 94. 3.8 or 5.0

the only difference i see is the water pump pulley different , the fox ones turn inside not outside, i attached a pic of a fox one

after looking at the pic closer it looks like the crank pulley is bolted onto the water pump for some reason
