Default 1985 Mustang Turbo convertible - opinions?

May have found a cool driveline replacement for my 85 LX vert.
Found a guy who has a parts SVO and he will sell me the engine etc, from it. The car's shell is rusted pretty bad and his 16 year old nephew has a SVO so he wants to keep the SVO specific body panels for spares. I am thinking maybe grafting T-Bird Turbo Coupe intercooler scoops in the LXs hood if I do this. I'll also be doing a 5 lug conversion but will run late model Bullitt wheels not the SVO ones.
What do you guys think?

It's a popular thing to do these days. I think you'll like it once you get it all together.

You'll need to convert the car to EFI and have to swap over all the wiring crap

Maybe 20PSI, new computer, new 3" VAM, and some porting will make it faster

My LX has a EEC IV CFI now, when I asked the guy about the engine & tranny I mentioned EEC wiring harness etc. and told him what I wanted it for. He's a Mustang guy too so we are on the same page. I may try to get the front brakes & rearend (although I'd rather go 8.8) etc for my 5 lug conversion too, he really only wants to keep the body panel spares.

You can use ranger driverside axles to do a rear 5 lug swap.

Also the CFI wiring wont work, not enough wires/injector's/etc wiring

Thanks Sleeper, I know the CFI harness & EEC won't work and the CFI harness in my car has "issues" anyway, lol. Point is, there are wiring grommets, an EEC mount, etc. Plus a EFI fuel tank (I know I'll need a SEFI fuel pump though) already in the car so a swap should be a tad easier than if it were a carbed car.
I will probably go with the Ranger axle swap at first so I can put my $ in to the engine swap, I will eventually want to upgrade to a 8.8 though.

My intercooler is off junk vw diesel. But going to change that to large one.
