Chrome in my opinion looks tacky on these cars.

Opinions Opinions... I have chrome and satin alum all over my lil stang and love it, have had many pos. comments about the chrome "retro" look. If you like the chrome go for it! Its your stang, fix her up the way YOU want! Thats all that matters..

Well if my car was black it would look ok with the chrome door handles but it is silver, so to me it would look tacky.

Well, putting chrome door handles might not match alot of the outside trim of your stang. Mine has black trim all around, and chrome in my opinion wouldn't look good.

But what do I know, it's your stang, and your decision!

You should be able to find the black door handles at autozone if I remember correctly. If not there are multiple websites that sell them. If you do replace them I'd recommend getting metal instead of plastic. Ford Mustang Door Handle - Partstrain.com

Sure you can. Just remember to pick a good, quality paint that will resist scratching and chipping. Apply several LIGHT coats and you should be good to go.

We sell both the chrome + black handles. Both are very nice.

Thing to keep in mind...if you race the car keep the handles on for the track.

I was going to shave the handles on the show car but like to drag race at the local track from time to time.

If you wipe out and there's no handles on there good luck

Tony

I put chrome ones on my 2005, and if I were to do it again, I would pull the double-sided adhesive tape off the back of the chrome cover, and just use emblem adhesive or something. I like the look of them, but when I grab them to open the door, there's just the tiniest bit of give from the tape, and it really bugs me!

Maybe someday I'll pull them back off, and glue them on.
