Default 1991 Mustang 2.3 intake

Why does my intake manifold look different from the ones I hve seen in pictures?

ok does my motor have a knock sensor and if so where is it?

also is the other kind of intake better because i have one off of a ranger

i think they changed the intake so you can get at the sparkplugs to change them.

That's why the upper is split. It allows access to the plug that's hidden there. The lower is different too though. The runner design won't let you use it on earlier heads nor will it work with a distributor.

To answer the original poster's last questions:

No your car does not have a knock sensor.

Depending on the Ranger model year, it's the same intake.
