I was your age 3 years ago lol! Keep that blue oval in the blood! I was also raised in a ford family, I bleed ford blue. And that's a good car to start out with. Be like me, keep it for a while, do the work on it by yourself and with your dad, brother, or anyone who knows cars in the family. You will learn a bunch from that car and doing so will give you skills you can use for the rest of your life. Not only skills like how to work with engines and such but when you get your permit, it's a fun car to learn with, gives the skills of driving. Play around with it and learn and have fun. Learn how to change oil, do tune ups, etc. A lot of fun and useful. How do I know? Because I was in the same exact boat, '90 2.3L convertable automatic, first car. Bought her wrecked, almost totalled, and fixed her giving her a new life and me new skills, a lot of them, such as how to burnout lol (not to incourage you to do so) but eventually, and here in a week, my first engine swap

. Glad your interested in mustangs and the world of automobiles. Be safe and have fun with the pony!
