Default Just bought any exhaust ideas

I just bought a 89 Fox Body with a 2.3 and a 5 speed. I am planning on putting a 5.0 in around christmas. I want to put an exhaust on it, but I want the tips to come out in front of the rear wheels. Any suggestions?

Are you trying to make it a street legal system? If so, there is no aftermarket side exhaust system available for the fox bodies (that I know of).

"Svo" made them but it was only for 94-98 but there no longer made.
I've never seen them done to a fox before.
It shouldnt be that had to do if you know what you doing. I'd try to pick up some side skirts for your year in a junk yard a play around with it.
That's if you want them out the skirt. If not and you just want it out the side that easy.
BUT CHECK ON YOUR LOCAL LAWS!!! Some states make it a must to have the tail pipe past the rear axel.

No use putting an exhaust on it now if you're going to put a 5.0 in it this Xmas! Just wait till then and you will have a whole bunch of choices when it comes to the exhaust.

If you want to do an exhaust now, just have the factory muffler and resonator removed, and a glasspack or cheap turbo muffler (from Thrush or Cherry-Bomb) welded in. Though they both sound kind of redneck on any V8 car, they sound surprisingly good on a 2.3L Mustang, I ran a 24" long Thrush glasspack on my '74 Mustang II and a Thrush Turbo muffler on my '88 LX. Neither sounded anything like a 5.0, but they didn't sound like a ricer either.
