i'm looking for just a little info on what decals were on the 1984 mustang svo and possible resource. i just bought the car last week ,the car was repainted 2 years ago and now has no svo decals thanks mike

I believe that the only SVO specific decals that were used on the 84's were chrome and located on the front fenders.

Congrats on the new buy! I got mine just about a month ago. I would show you some pics but mine doesn't have any either. Although I do know that there were the SVO emblems on the fenders and I believe on the left side deck lid it had "Mustang SVO" and of course on the right side of the deck lid was the "FORD" emblem.

Ok, here goes the badging info:

84- Had a decal on the hatch just inside the the MUSTANG lettering (see pic below). Some 84's have been known to have the decals on the fenders as well, others have not. The decals came in Argent (silver) and Black. Argent went on the 9W, 1C, and 2A paint. Black went on the other colors.

85-Had metallic looking letters on the hatch only (like the eBay link above)

86-Had the metallic looking letters on the hatch and the fenders.
