Default Just got a 93 stang and found this forum =)

Hey everyone i just got me a 93 stang with the convertible top and it needs a little work so i figured i could get on the net and get some tips and found this forum. I noticed my stang isnt the best of shape esp the convertible top which is pretty crappy but i popped the trunk and it appears there was a new one in the trunk. so i figured id tackle that first esp. with all the rain in my area. but i noticed the stang doesnt have much power. it has 133k on it i got it for $500. Is there anything i can invest in to get it rolling better? im planning on doing some freeway driving for school. one of my friends has a turbo he never used he said he would sell it for $150. what else would i need to do/upgrade for it to be installed? cold air intake? any suggestions would be appreciated but i plan on doing a tune up on some things. hope you guys can help me out it would be much appreciated.

You will need a ( lot ) parts to go with the turbo.

I would start with a complete tune up first.

its an automatic. im going to give it a good tune up and not worry about doing turbo if i need so many parts. i really dont wanna dump more money than what i paid for it. i just thought i could get the turbo and go find a turbo manifold and do some new piping and be good to go w.o much boost just to give the car some more rawr lol. thanks for the reply but im still interested in doing something budget
