New to the forum, couldn't help but notice the lak of SVO's being posted. Mine's stock with a new turbo, 66k on the clock and everything else is pretty much original. Havin some trouble lately with fuel pumps, but I try and keep it clean and tight.
so why is it so hard to find parts for these cars and people that really know about them. I've been trying to get one of mine to run but most mechanics never even heard of this car so don't really want to mess with it. anybody felt like that?

Well here is as good as any to jump in, (1st post) got an 84, fairly well prepped for roadracing, the 1st time I showed up at a NASA event to run in the American Iron series, (according to the race director "worlds first 4 cyl to compete in American Iron" )everybody from the tech inspector, to the other competitors, which are all V8s, kinda scratched thier heads.
The comments ranged from: this is legal? this wont be competitive, this is cool, kinda ballzy to this is the way to go AI racing.
The main rule in the series is 10 pounds of car weight for every horsepower, they run higher HP and weight, I'm lower HP and weight.
So far it has been good and bad, I have run well, but fought gremlins.
At any rate I love the car, was working for Ford when they came out, people either love them, or never heard of them.

I actually struggle with ex temps, 1700* + on long pulls, thanks for the complement, upon close inspection you would see it's function over form, some things are kinda ugly.
