Any you guys driving an SVO

Where are all the SVO's? Any you guys driving an SVO. Never owned one but from what I read they can really haul ass

My younger brother bought a brand new SVO in 86. It was an extremely hot car. He never ran it in the quarter or anything. They had it about 4 years and his wife basicly trashed it....too bad. He never fiddled with the boost. Too bad he didn't install a variable boost adjust located inside the car. My uncle purchased a new (stock) 86 GT and the SVO would roast it. Most of the SVO's that I've seen on the street are pretty hammered. It kind of bothers me because I just remembered that his car performed so well.

He's asked a couple of times to drive my 95 GT convertible. I won't let him.

I don't have a SVO, but I have a 84 Turbo GT

Bought her for a 100 bucks

only about 1300 made

I don't have one either, but it was this car when it was first introduced that got me hooked on Mustangs.

You never forget your first love, even if you never got to touch her. It was a car that was WAY ahead of it's time.

Four wheel disc brakes, 16" wheels, etc... how long did it take for Ford to make that standard?

Yes they were

84 was the last year before the SVO replaced them. They had no intercooler (that will be fixed) and only 9lbs boost (this too)

The 84 convertibles are the hardest to find. only 300 or so made

OK, my '85 is finally ready to drive (fresh repaint)! Tony, you wanna help me install the intake, etc. on her!?! When she's done, I'm hoping my "early" 85 SVO is putting about 230-250 to the wheels!

I gotta get the registration sorted out with DMV then it needs fuel injectors and brakes!

And whatever has deteriorated over the years of being parked!
