Default what can i do to make my regular auto 2.3L into a speed race advice please?

This isn't going to be the answer you want to hear, but: NOTHING. You can do some little things to make it a little more enjoyable to drive, but nothing will make it a rocket aside of swapping a turbo 2.3L into it. If you have an 87-90 you can swap in a roller cam for smoother operation and quicker revving. Gut the silencer out of the intake tube. Disconnect the knock sensor and run premium fuel. Put a K&N filter on it. That's about it for easy stuff. You can get real radical and put a shift kit in it, port the head, gut the lower intake, and things like that, but that's more money.

Yea i got one and i put a shift kit and trans pack with a cold air intake, but its still not that quick. I did remove the air conditioning belt today to make more power, it helps but not that much of a difference. i would just spend the money on the 5.0 swap, that's what I'm saving up for.
