what does a ECM in a 88' Thunderbird look like???? Got a ECM from the junk yard today, well i think its the ECM, im not sure if its the ECM or something else. got it out of a 88' thunderbird, what does it look like and where is it located on the car??

ECM located behind passenger kickpanel. There is also another one that looks similiar to the ECM. I think somewhere in rear area. It is for the ride system. If turbocoupe computer since in 2.3 section should be a LA_ or LB_ series or a 8UA. the LA and LB will have a number after the letters.

ICRM has the relay for the fuel pump, 2fans and AC near as I can remember. What the computer looks like.
Ford Fuel Injection » EEC Program Codes plus the codes to read on the computer to tell which one you have. Sound like you found this. Best picture I could find of it.

Black thing IRCM Intergrated relay control module. Turns fuel pump on, 2 radiator fans (turbocoupe has 2) and also AC clutch.

On my 93 vert the thing under the seat is hooked to radio. I assume amp. 85dangerranger you mention maf box. Does it loook like this if does you will need it.

This a small vam the 87-88 had one larger. If got this don't sell you will need it. Also on the other save it until decide what wiring harness you are going to use.

Here is pictures of the 2.3 turbo installing in the 89. Remember old one went bad. {piston}. Maybe looking at it may recognise some parts you need. I have a 5.0 throttle body on it now. But stock 2.3 is fine. These are in wife's photobucket. Posting this before it is asked. The blue car in background is my 1975 MG Midget. Reason for mgman75.
