Holy crap!!!ford has seemed to decide to return the svo! According to sources the new 2010 mustang svo will run a twin turbo 300 hp 4 cyl...thank god ford finally got there head right...long live the svo!!!!

i havent heard of any 4cyl twin turbo but i have heard that there will be an optional v6 twin turbo not sure of the horse power numbers though. Im sure though if you looked at some of there european cars or even australian models you will find the engine specs because they are supposively already putting this engine in maybe the falcon i think it was. Yes they still make the falcon... best looking ford vehicle next to the mustangs. Oh and also for you ford truck lovers out there look up the F150 SVT RAPTOR!! Makes TRD look like TuRDs.

It has been stated that it will have an ecoboost V6, and run numbers around 300 HP.

It won't stand out like the original SVO though. This is a rebadged Mustang with a little bit of a different powerplant. It will also have a poor version of a bi-wing glued onto the rear window.
In addition, the suspension will be the same as the regular Mustang, so it won't make the impact that the original SVO did.

It sounds to me like Ford is trying to keep up with Chevy. The new Camaro V6 is supposed to be 306hp. Why the current V6 Mustang is only 210hp I'll never know. I beat one in my SVT Contour (200hp) and my 86 SVO will beat the Contour.

well i saw on autoblog that ford will be releasing the 3.5L ecoboost engine in the flex. the numbers they posted for it were 355 hp and 350 ft/lbs torque. so hopefully, the mustang will see this engine soon!

The new Mustang is a bit too heavy for a Turbo 4 in my opinion. Well actually, I just find it too heavy period.. I would be spending weeks in vain trying to lighten it up. I'd take a rally car over a drag car any day. Thankfully it is still lighter than SRT 8's which hit turns like a tractor trailer.

I heard they wont be doing the ecoboost after all about a month ago. just a normal v6 and v8 and whatever other engines are actually in existance are what will be continued.
