Default What I think about 2.3L's!

I think 2.3L's are for people who don't have much money. I think they are for people who like to have fun and be creative. I think they are neat little machine's that have so much stuff there is to do to them and except everything is hard to find or if it's easy you can get it in the bone yard. It's freaking awsome to see the pissed off look on the rice boy's face or the occasional RICE GIRL's face when you pop you'r you to show them you have a 2.3L because the can't beleive you beat them with a 4 banger Mustang.. Then there's our mpg! Oh it's kinda like we don't waist gas compared to the V8's!

There is a reasion people why Ford put the 2.3L engine in the Mustang, it's not because it's a cheap no good version of the Mustang. No matter what engine is in it, it's still a MUSTANG! So why is it that people can judge every other Mustang beside's a V8, just because it doesn't have a v8 in doesn't mean it isn't a Mustang. It still say's Mustang on it! The title still say's Mustang on it. The dealer you baught it at is more than likley a Ford dealer (if you baught it new). People should just stop being so judgemental about every Mustang besides a v8 or gt for that matter.

Finaly I think the 2.3L mustang's are by far the easiest thing to work on that I have ever worked on, there neat and fun. You don't have to try to make it fast, or make it look/sound like a gt or a big ol' v8. It's like everyone think's a Mustang has to be extreamly fast. No it's not true, I think a Mustang can be what ever you want it to be. I planned on making my car a murdered out, shodow in the night, that no one can see. I love my 2.3L and I can't wait till I get another one. I hope the person buying mine take's very good care of it. As for people saying that the 4cylender mustang is the ricer Mustang. NOT TRUE! I beleive it's awsome that people have start moding 2.3L Mustangs because if we don't fix them up then there going to get smucheyed! Then there no good to anyone. So don't let that happen!

So I'm not going to be able to be in here for a while since I will not have a 2.3L Mustang for awhile, I want to tell you all thank's for all the help with my stang and to keep Kicken some ass on the street's and at the track and REMEBER A MUSTANG IS A MUSTANG NO MATTER WHAT ENGINE IS IN IT!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!!!

Its nice that you take pride in what you have.
I understand where you are coming from.

I use to kill 5.0's all the time. Now that I have one and see first hand that they are not "all that" I love to work on it. The 5.0 has SO many things that it needs help with, (weak for a V8, poor suspension, Horrible charging system, and other stuff)

All these things is what actually make it such a fun car. My lord how the 5.0 wakes up to the most simple mods!! It is a car that does not need much done to it to really make it a different car. Some basic mods is the difference from night and day!! Many cars need alot done to them to even feel a small increase in fun.

Lol very true about the 5.0L swap, but it's not what the 2.3L's were intended for. I beleive they should be left with the 2.3L or 2.3LT.

There is so many people who talk sh*t about my 2.3L Mustang. It just pisses me off so much, because there stupid. They can't even make sense on what they are saying about my car. It's like "Whoa! Calm down killer, don't you think you'r a bad ass" when there talking **** to me. I think it's funny most of the time.

I am not really going any where, I just won't be able to really post much because I am getting rid of my car for a better 2.3L Mustang. I decided when my car broke for the final time, that I am going to get a truck for a while and save up for another 2.3L so that I can build a 2.3L "Night Creeper" as I wanted to do to my other Mustang. I want to build a total N/a Engine and try to get like 275 Rwhp out of stock block! I will be reading on here alot and posting my idea's to see if anyone has and positive comment's on my idea's.

I started into the Mustang not for the Mustang but for the 2.3turbo for the MGB. Mind got changed when one got hauled into yard. Wife of 20+years wanted a mustang. So I lost my extra 2.3t motor. Donar was not a SVO was a turbocoupe conversion then wrecked. I got no problem with 5.0 guys. Got two guys who drag race 5.0 and one who drags a 3.8 nitrous and another 3.8 turbo. I have fun at car shows talking to everyone.

Thank you, I finally got the 1990 Ford Ranger today! I kinda want to start a build thread on it but it's not a Mustang so I think the Moderate's would bann me. Even though it does have a 2.3L!!!!! I plan on modifying it a little, it's pretty sweet 2 wheel drive drive, but does need work.

Well if you could send me PMs on your work I would be greatly interested. A 2.3 is a 2.3, we all share the same power plant so tech info is generally similar (not in all cases). I would like to see this project grow.

A 2.3L Turbo Ranger would be a good write up and something different.
Also here on craigslist a guy has some SVO body parts for sale. I know for sure a hood and fenders, not sure on a nose...if anyone is intrested in the this thread. (It was either in the Cincinnati or Dayton/Springfield list.)

Thank's CNTLOSE, I would sure like to do a build thread but I am unsure if the mod's will ban me from the site or not, because it's not a mustang. After all the website is call http://www.Allfordmustangs.com not http://www.allfordrangers.com
but maybe since we share the same power plant they will let me. Idk.

i have a 2.3L mustang. its a fox body and i actually dont mind the car itself. but i CANNOT stand the ugly green that it is painted lol. im goin to be painting it Black here in the near future. and eventually. (after i put some miles on the 4cyl engine) i plan on doing an engine swap with either te 5.0 or i might look into getting the 5.8L to put into it.

I heaqr the main caps are sourced from a boss 302 block, they are hard to kill. I think when I fix my truck and have a bit of money, I'll buy all the 2.3's from these goofs that do swaps. I also like the 300 and 200 l6's.
