which intake is better a square 80ish intake or my 93 split style? i was thinking of getting a ported square or is a ported split style better?

If you've got a '93, you're pretty much stuck with it. The older intakes won't fit the dual plug head. If you're just talking about the uppers, same deal. The split design is unique to the dual plug era. They don't mix and match with the single plug versions.

the shape of the intake holes fit the type of injection you have.. oval holes, or in your case, split ones are for the fuel injection.. and the circular ones are with the carburation..

i dont know where you found these square ones at..
