I've toyed with the idea before but, as time marches on, I don't want to miss my opportunity to nab a solid 86 SVO. For all the SVO owners here - what do I need to do to arm myself in my quest? I'm aware of the general facts of these cars but have not really had a chance to see one in person. I think they represent an incredible section of the Mustang history and, money allowing, would love to find one.
Any tips or resources I should be aware of? Any obvious things to try and avoid when I finally get to inspect one? I'm going to do some searches here once the computer stops hanging up on me and try to educate myself a bit. I just didn't know if anyone had any insight to help get me going.
Thanks!
Snack
EDIT - I'm not looking for a trailer queen or anything completely original but instead a solid part time driver.

Go over to www.svoca.com those guys are the experts.
That does seem like a deal. I'll visit svoca.com and see what' up. I want to be as educated as possible in my quest but I'm not in a super rush to buy the first one I see. This is something I really want but I want to be smart about it. Thanks for the heads up!

Will do, Jim! I've always thought it would be cool to have a 76(Cobra II), and an 86 (SVO) in addition to our 66, 96 and 06.
The SVOs have always intrigued me and I think they are generally overlooked considering what they are. As trends change I want to get one before people realize how valuable they can be. By valuable I don't mean for selling, I mean for the history and uniqueness. I'm not rolling in money or anything but why buy a newer car for $10,000 or $15,000 (when what we have is fine)when that money could go to getting a couple cool stangs?
