Default The latest additions to the latest addition.:)

I wrote 5 days ago about my new mustang. Well, now it's time to write about what all it has. So far there is a custom made cold air intake for the car. There is also GTO smoked headlight covers, 2 12" rockford fosgate punch subs powered by a sentrek amp and Sony headunit. I also have a 95 lph fuel pump from a gt mustang. The engines exhaust and intake have also been ported. I also bought some new wheels about a week ago. They are panther wheels. 15x8.5 for the rear and 15x7 for the front. i have not been able to afford tires for them yet, but they should go on in a few weeks.I am on a pretty tight budget because I am still only a senior in high school, but I am doing what I can. I start a job this week, so I don't have to keep selling things to make additions. haha.

I don't have a lot of power adders, but I am trying to make it look good, and then I'm looking at a couple of different engines. May go with a 390 (got offered one for a good price) or a 302.

Thanks.

other than that, that 390 your talking about? what is it out of? i didnt even know ford made a 390 or is it a punched 351?

yes ford made a 390 from 1958-1971. it was replace by 335 cleveland, 351 winsor, and the 385 series. the engine in question is more likely a 351w bored out.

Yeah, it looks like I'm going to just buy the 390 (it's completely rebuilt and I'm getting it for 100 from a family friend), because I already have a kid that wants to buy it for between400 and 600. I'm guessing he will probably get it for about 450 but I don't know yet. And I have decided to not buy a new engine yet. I'm going to make it look good. The girlfriend wants me to sell it and get a idfferent mustang, so i figured if she can SEE progress instead of feel it performance wise, she may like it more. haha. Still be doing some performance stuff, but just not a new engine until this summer.

just a word of advice you better off in the long run swapping in a 302.....

the 390 is an FE motor, finding parts will hard and when you do they will very expensive.....

acctually they made the 390 after that in 1976 my dad owns a 1976 f150 with a 390 but the thing is leaky like a sive.
