Default Need some advice on my 1988 mustang

I bought my mustang today and the door interior panels are pretty beat up. Looking for a place to find some that isn't gonna charge me an arm and a leg. We don't really have any good pick-n-pull places around close by. Also would need the various screws and things to mount it since the guy took the door apart...and promptly lost all the hardware.

Secondly, since there are so many different parts that fit a lot of different years of car, is there a quick reference sheet that i can look at when i want to know if a specific part will fit my car? Don't really have a lot of time to spend modding, but would like to fix it up over time. Couple of the rust spots are gonna be a lot of work to fix.

Welcome. Is door panel material good and "wood" material on back bad? Is could peel material off except for is attached to metal. Remove the wood material and make pattern on material from building supply. Cut it out, cut out places for anchors and poprivet back to metal piece. Some sprayglue and pull material around wood and glue. Done this to one I sold. Couldn't tell it. If torn can buy replacement but pricey or put a Want to Buy in the classified.

Even if the interior color doesn't match on the replacement doors, they could easily be painted to match.

i finally managed to get a message back from the guy with the doors...that didnt have them any more. And i saw what you mean about painting them when i was at the parts store yesterday, now i just have to find some in decent shape and figure out what color i'd like. I'm thinking of going a two-tone color scheme black with red accents.

Johnson's Mustang and Truck parts in Chesapeake.

Get the door panel removal tool from 50resto first so you don't ruin the replacement panel when you take it off.
