Question Can anyone help me?

Hello again. I was looking for a subwoofer box for a single 10" or 12" that'll fit in the trunk of and LX Foxbody, preferably one that can mount under the back window. I just got a PowerBass 400.1 Mono block amp and I had a MTX Thunder 5500. I built the box to the specs size for the speaker and it was to big to shove in the hole. Now I need one for the MTX according to specs, I think like 0.5 or 0.8 cubic inches. Or the 10" which will be an Infinity Kappa or a Memphis M1. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

I would highly suggest getting a custom fiberglass box. I was reluctant to do it at first but after I did I am glad. They will be made to form fit wherever you want in the trunk.

What should that run me for a 93 LX? I am also in the process of fixing and eventually converting over to a 5.0. There is no carpet in the trunk right now though.

Well converting to a 5.0 shouldn't make a difference in the trunk. It cost me 250 for 2 custom sub boxes and having them put in at a local shop in town. (I think I got a deal cause my girlfriend knows the owner ofthe shop). I am not sure what it would cost you but I would be willing to bet that just for one sub, and a rather small box you could probably get a box for about 100 dollars. You won't be dissappointed in one if you get it.

the hight in a trunk only allows for 11 inches from top to bottom, and you have to allow for the springs that hold the trunk lid up, they move when the trunk is open and closed, so you can't have anything touching them, i removed mine to have a 11 inch tall box in there, i also removed the seat back and cut out the 2 cross braces to slide the box in from the front.

The only thing you may want to hold off on if converting to the 5.0 is you may need access to the trunk area in the swap. I have never done a 5.0 swap into a fox body, it seems like it would cost way to much over just buying a 5.0 car.

That was a good idea. Didn't know if I could get away with doing that. Now I know so i'll do the same.

What other cars can I use the "Guts" out of for my converting to a 5.0 LX Foxbody.

If you can find good running 5.0's for $100 please send them my way. I just sold a complete low mile 5.0 V8, with AOD, all accessories from smog pump to A/C compressor for $1,800.

I have another complete motor and AOD as I am cleaning out my shop with about 50K on it for $1,500

I had a 91' Crown Vic cop car special that got hit in the front end. A week or so later a 89' Crowns tranny went out right in front of me so I offered him $100. He took it and I used it for a parts car. That was a 5.0.
