Arrow 1990 Mustang Convertible LX -> Tips

Hey guys, new here just wanted to post some stuff about my car, see if I can get some suggestions on what to do...to start my car is:

1990
Convertible
Baby Blue
4 cylinder
214k

After getting this car at about 200k on it i upgraded the tires to a stock 5.0 liter rim/tire set [link to show them, just the rims: http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/vv201/Shujinse/1987FordMustang_large.jpg ]Not gonna lie, they look really cool on my car, after that i got myself some aftermarket headlights, they look pretty cool..

Now that i have gone this far with my car the question remains...Do I pump more money into it to pimp it out, or at its milage am I going to have to run into a lot of problems?...I have done a lot of engine work, gaskets replaced, tranny repair, this and that, its been expensive so far...the next thing i want is a new sound system. What do you guys think? I love this car to death, good on gas..lots of fun

If I plan to keep this car, I wanna look into adding some power to it, ya i know its a 2.3L but im sure there are things you can do to juice it up a bit, are there even Exhaust kits for my type of car?

Ok this is getting a bit long, time to stop. I look forward to your reply and thanks for your time,

Derek

For performance add ons Racer Walsh has a ton of cool 2.3 stuff. I had a 1990 Convertible LX and I loved it. You can get a lot of miles out of a 2.3, and if it goes bad pop a 2.5 from a ranger in it. There are a ton of options for it, I say keep it, there are very few on the road and I get lots of joy out of maintaining my cars. You may want to look at reducing weight if you can, it really helps. My car I ended up putting a carbon hood, decklid, lighter seats, rear seat delete (used a package tray from a Mazda RX7 FC with the two storage boxes) the sad part was that the car ended up getting damaged in a wreak. But it was a blast. My other 2.3 was a Turbo GT and was a great car as well.

That sounds pretty sweet man, Im gonna check out Racer Walsh and see what my options are. This car is a lot of fun, sure its not as powerful as a 5.0 but I still have fun, Where did you find a Carbon hood? Racer Walsh site? Im also looking into repainting it, not sure tho, the top is a dark dark blue not sure what color would look good, If anything I'll just get it repainted baby blue. Its just the clearcoat on the hood is all deteriorised from the sun. I guess this sounds kinda noobish, but can Carbon Hoods be painted? every time i think of Carbon hoods i think of Need for speed how they are a dark grey/black color.

Thanks again :P

My Carbon hood was painted to match, I purcahsed it from a vendor that built them for the industry when I was working at a Retail Mustang shop. VIS makes one I believe that fits nice

Sweet deal, Ive been looking around and i found some cool sites where to get mustang parts, I first found a carbon hood at [theres no picture of it, but it says its for my mustangs year]:

VIS Racing Carbon Fiber Hood OEM Style Ford Mustang 1987 - 1993 87FDMUS2DOE-010C

Then I found another site where u can get stock mustang parts:

Fox Body Mustang Restoration and Parts - Fox Mustang Restoration

Another site where i found some nice seats, decent price I suppose:

Racer Walsh, Inc. Seats

I didn't know there were so many options to modify/buy parts after market/OEM...this is awesome
