I think it is but i'm gonna do it anyways. Besides by this time next year it'll be converted to a 5.0 anyways. Do what you'd like. I'd do it for the looks. But thats just me.
I'm keeping the stockers in till I start modding and racing the car. BUt look through racing seats carefully as some arent a bolt in and some just wouldnt be comfortable for a DD.

$650 is alot of money for seats! Personally, I'd put the money somewhere else. Have you considered later model Mustang seats? They can be picked up for 1/6th of that price and are pretty much a bolt in. Comfortable and good looking too. Here's a pic I grabbed from corral.net. The guy put '03 GT seats in his '93 vert.
