Default GT LX Confusion??

I went to Advanced Auto Parts and I was looking for a part. I asked then they asked what car I had. I said 4cyl LX 88 mustang. And it the computer it said that GT and LX were both 5.0. There was one that was called... just "mustang" and it was 4cyl. So whats up with that?

i wouldnt trust that parts store or computer. all gt's are 5.0's but there are some LX 5.0's. but all of the 2.3's are LX. not just "mustang"

Yes, some LX's are 5.0's some are 2.3's. LX does not stand for the size of the engine, it stands for the comfort features that came with the car (LUXURY). I would just go with the regular 2.3 Mustang in the computer, especially if the part your looking for is mechanical!
