The guy who i purchased my car from is the original owner for this car and he told me that there was a recall back in 85 for the 84 svo. He said there was a defect in the turbos, and his would spool up over 20 psi. so he took it in and got the turbo replaced. Im no expert on these cars but from what i heard is that 84's came with a oil cooled only turbo and my car has oil and water lines connected to it. Does any one know any details on this? My car also has the 85.5 front lights on it and the previous owner told me he changed them right when the turbo got replaced so im hoping the turbo is one used in those 85.5 svo with more boost on them.
