Default complete mercury capri turbo at junkyard. anything worth getting from it?

hey there. i havent posted in here for a while since i sold my 1986 mustang. but now im on a search for a capri. if this thread belongs somewhere else someone please redirect it. thanks.

so i went to the junkyard and saw a complete mercury capri with 2.3 turbo and 5 speed. the only thing missing was the hoodscoop. it had a bubble top. not sure what year. it had recaro bucket halo seats. exactly like the 1984 gt 350 color and design. anything rare bout this car cus that interior? no badges.

anyways for drivetrain. anything good to get. i know motor isnt intercooled. any good parts to take off that will work with svo parts?? what rear these cars have 8.8??

i feel like i am asking a lot hahaha ill just keep it at that. any and all help is greatly appreciated. thanks!!

It sound like it's an '83 or '84 Turbo RS. Very rare cars.

Can you get the VIN and codes from the buck tag (metal tag attached to radiator frame behind driver-side headlamps) and door tag?

Drivetrain wise, the engine is good, transmission (T5) is just OK, and the rear is a 7.5 with 3.45 and traction-lok

Forget the vin grab the car. Try and buy it its such a cool car. Can you legally buy it and register it in your state?? Boy would i like to have that puppy. Make a deal with the junkyard DUDE and pull the thing home and start building it . I really dont know how rare the car is but if memory serves me its RARE. I am by no means an expert on the worth of cars but the capri is a KEEPER FOR SHURE DUDE. GRAB IT.

Cool

Grab it! It's rare! This one was found in a yard in Utah. '84 Capri RS turbo. Is your's an RS? The guy pulled the motor and is doing a build for his Mustang. AFAIK, the car itself is still there.
